Barbra Streisand Proves You Can Go Home Again

Legendary multiple Grammy, Emmy, Golden Globe and Oscar winner (and recipient of a Special Tony Award) Barbra Streisand made a triumphant homecoming as she took the stage Oct. 11 at Barclays Center, Brooklyn's brand new arena. On the first night of a two-night engagement, Streisand wowed the audience with favorites that spanned her illustrious career — including songs from Funny Girl, "A Star is Born," "The Way We Were,"— and even gave a glimpse of her portrayal of Rose in Gypsy. Streisand's second show in Brooklyn, co-directed with Richard Jay-Alexander, is Saturday Oct. 13. The Back to Brooklyn tour will continue throughout the U.S. and Canada.
