Highlights From "Barrymore" Film Starring Christopher Plummer

2012 Academy Award winner Christopher Plummer recreates his Tony Award-winning role in the filmed adaptation of William Luce's Barrymore. Set in 1942, the story finds acclaimed thespian John Barrymore — a member of Hollywood's most well known acting families — on the downside of his career. Struggling to recapture his lost youth, he rents an old theatre to rehearse and hopefully raise money to revive Richard III, his greatest triumph from some 20 years earlier. The film, directed and adapted by Érik Canuel, also features John Plumpis in the role of Frank, the Prompter. The film opens in NYC and Los Angeles on Nov. 15 with other locations to follow.
