Based on the memoir of Maria von Trapp, the Rodgers and Hammerstein classic — with book by Howard Lindsay and Russel Crouse — tells the story of a postulant-turned-governess who brings music and joy into the lives of the seven children of a widowed Austrian naval captain, even as a Nazi invasion looms.
