EXCLUSIVE: Darius de Haas in Rehearsal For If Only For One Night

Playbill stopped by speakeasy-styled cabaret room 54 Below to get a glimpse of Darius de Haas (Rent, Marie Christine) in rehearsal for his latest concert performance, If Only For One Night. Named for the romantic Luther Vandross ballad, the show will feature songs from across the musical spectrum — pop tunes made famous by Vandross, Nat King Cole, Donny Hathaway, Stevie Wonder and Billy Joel will be performed alongside Broadway standards by Leonard Bernstein and Stephen Sondheim and others. Each will be reinterpreted by de Haas and his quartet with an ear toward jazzy funk. Performances are Dec. 16 and 18. For details, click here.
