Highlights From William Inge's Picnic on Broadway

The 1953 Pulitzer Prize winner for Drama, William Inge's Picnic gets a fresh Broadway revival by Roundabout Theatre Company at the American Airlines Theatre. When sexy drifter Hal (Sebastian Stan) arrives in a small Kansas town looking for work from his college pal Alan (Ben Rappaport), he stirs up the locals — especially the women, including Flo (Mare Winningham), her younger daughter Millie (Madeleine Martin), comely older daughter Madge (Maggie Grace), neighbor Mrs. Potts (Ellen Burstyn) and schoolteacher Rosemary (Elizabeth Marvel) — on the day of the big summer picnic. Sam Gold directs the steamy portrait of passion in a world of limited choices. View the Playbill Photo Call of Picnic here.
