"Smash" Season Two Unmasks New Faces of 2013

"Smash" returns to NBC for its second season starting with a two-hour premiere 9-11 PM/ET Feb. 5, with new characters and fresh plots overseen by new series "showrunner" and executive producer Joshua Safran. Cast additions to the behind-the-scenes Broadway musical drama include Jennifer Hudson, who plays Tony-winning Broadway star Veronica Moore, who serves as mentor to the up-and-coming Karen Cartwright (Katharine McPhee), and Jeremy Jordan and Andy Mientus as Jimmy Collins and Kyle Bishop, a songwriting duo bent on Broadway success.
