Broadway Backwards 8 Revisits Show Tunes Through LGBT Lens

Broadway Backwards, the annual concert celebration in which great musical-theatre songs are reinterpreted by Broadway performers through a lens that blurs gender and sexuality, gets its eighth installment March 18 at Broadway's Palace Theatre. It will feature Estelle Parsons, Jan Maxwell, Victor Garber, Brian Stokes Mitchell, Stephanie J. Block, Judy Kaye and more. Here, performers Kyle Dean Massey and Robert Creighton preview the show with Broadway Backwards creator Robert Bartley, who will direct and choreograph. Proceeds go to Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS and the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Community Center of New York City. See the rehearsal video from last year's event.
