A New Taste of Catfish Row From The Gershwins' Porgy and Bess

Audra McDonald (Bess), Norm Lewis (Porgy), David Alan Grier (Sporting Life) and the rest of the cast of The Gershwins' Porgy and Bess give a sneak peek at songs from the famous American jazz opera getting a new life on Broadway starting Dec. 17 at the Richard Rodgers Theatre. Providing a historical backdrop is director Diane Paulus as she explains how the original production of Porgy and Bess brought an end to segregation at Washington DC's National Theatre.
