Behind the Scenes at Spider-Man: Creating a New York City “Not Bound by Gravity”

A 2012 Tony Award nominee for Best Scenic Design of a Musical, George Tsypin talks about his inspirations and the challenges of bringing a comic book world to life in Broadway's Spider-Man Turn Off the Dark. Using dynamic moving designs inspired by the famous Marvel comic, Tsypin’s stunning set shows a perspective of New York City never seen before on stage.
