Broadway Impact Tirelessly Takes 8 to the Masses

Rory O'Malley, Gavin Creel and Jenny Kanelos were thrilled with Barack Obama's election, but on that same day Prop 8 was passed in the state of California. Wanting to help fight the law which eliminated the right for same-sex couples to marry, the trio founded Broadway Impact. The organization is dedicated to producing Dustin Lance Black's play 8 all across the nation and the world. Here, O'Malley, Creel and Kanelos talk about the play and what it means for people — gay or straight — everywhere. See the Angels of Kinky Boots talk about the positive and prideful messages of the hit show.
