Daniel Radcliffe, Michael Grandage and the Cast of The Cripple of Inishmaan Meet the Press

Daniel Radcliffe and the cast of Martin McDonagh's The Cripple of Inishmaan were joined by director Michael Grandage to chat with Playbill about the 1996 play which makes its way to Broadway April 12. The fictional story is based on actual events — in 1934, Robert J. Flaherty brought a film crew to shoot a fictionalized account of life on the tiny island of Inishmaan and other surrounding islands. In McDonagh's play, Billy (Radcliffe), a young man living with a disability, vies for a part in the film in hope of escaping the boredom, gossip and poverty of life on the island. The production plays the Cort Theatre. Performances run through July 20. See the show's details in the Playbill Vault.
