Destiny's Child's Michelle Williams and the Cast of Fela! Preview Their National Tour

Destiny's Child star Michelle Williams is currently playing Sandra Isadore in the national tour of the Tony Award-winning musical Fela! Tony Award winner Bill T. Jones (Spring Awakening) directed and choreographed the musical, which features a book by Jones and Jim Lewis and utilizes Nigerian musician-activist Anikulapo-Kuti's own music. After singing a preview of the song "Lover," Williams, along with co-stars Duain Richmond, Adesola Osakalumi and Melanie Marshall, talk to Playbill about how they first became aware of Fela Kuti's music, and why they think it's still popular today.
