Highlights From Allegiance Starring Lea Salonga, Telly Leung and George Takei

Stafford Arima directs the world premiere of Allegiance — A New American Musical, a history-inspired story which charts the lives of some of the 120,000 Japanese Americans who were placed into U.S. concentration camps during World War II. The Jay Kuo (composer-lyricist, co-librettist), Marc Acito and Lorenzo Thione (co-librettists) musical features Tony winner Lea Salonga (Miss Saigon), Telly Leung ("Glee," Godspell) and "Star Trek" veteran George Takei (in dual roles). Performances run through Oct. 21 at San Diego's Old Globe Theatre. For more on the production, click here.
