Highlights From Big Fish Starring Norbert Leo Butz and Kate Baldwin

Based on the novel by Daniel Wallace and the film adaptation directed by Tim Burton, Big Fish is a new musical with music and lyrics by Tony nominee Andrew Lippa and book by John August (who also wrote the film’s screenplay). Norbert Leo Butz, Kate Baldwin, Bobby Steggert and Krystal Joy Brown head the cast in the story of Edward Bloom (Butz), a traveling salesman whose tall tales fascinate his wife (Baldwin) but frustrate his son (Steggert) with their larger-than-life claims. Susan Stroman directs the production, which begins previews at the Neil Simon Theatre on Sept. 5. Watch Butz and Baldwin perform “Time Stops.”
