Highlights From Disney's Aladdin on Broadway

The new Disney musical production of Aladdin features songs cut from the 1992 animated film and will draw upon the original plot and character concepts that lyricist Howard Ashman pitched to Disney. Cast members include Adam Jacobs as Aladdin, Courtney Reed as Jasmine, James Monroe Iglehart as the Genie and Jonathan Freeman — who voiced the character in the film — as Jafar. Book is by Chad Beguelin, music is by Alan Menken and lyrics are by Ashman and Tim Rice with additional lyrics by Beguelin. Casey Nicholaw directs. Read the Playbill story.
