Highlights From Love Story, the musical at Philadelphia's Walnut Street Theatre

Inspired by the novel and the subsequent film starring Ryan O'Neal and Ali MacGraw, Erich Segal's modern romantic classic comes to the stage in Love Story, the musical, making its U.S. premiere at Walnut Street Theatre in Philadelphia. When law student Oliver Barrett IV (Will Reynolds) stumbles upon musician Jenny Cavilleri (Alexandra Silber) in the library, the unlikely pair form an unbreakable bond that is tested by her health crisis. With book and lyrics by Stephen Clark and music and additional lyrics by Howard Goodall, the new musical has direction and musical staging by Annabel Bolton, who worked on the original English production.
