Highlights From Martha Clarke's Chéri Starring Amy Irving

Martha Clarke's world-premiere of Chéri opened Off-Broadway Dec. 8 at the Signature Theatre Company. Inspired by the Colette novel of the same title, this new work is a fusion of theatre, live music, and dance. Set in Paris' Belle Époque era, the story of forbidden love between a young man and an older woman features Academy Award nominee Amy Irving, American Ballet Theatre principal dancer Herman Cornejo, prima ballerina assoluta Alessandra Ferri and pianist Sarah Rothenberg.
