Highlights From World-Premiere Musical Hero at Chicago's Marriott Theatre

Aaron Thielen and Michael Mahler's world-premiere musical Hero takes the stage at Chicago's Marriott Theatre through Aug. 19. Directed by David H. Bell, the Broadway-style, rock-and-rap-scored production is the story of Hero Batowski (An American Daughter's Erich Bergen ), a comic-book artist working at the family comic shop and still blaming himself for the tragic death of his mother. With the help of his cousin Kirk (Alex Goodrich) and father (Don Forsten), Hero takes steps to reenter the world after bumping into former high school flame Jane (Heidi Kettenring).
