In Rehearsal at the From Here to Eternity Boot Camp

Based on the 1951 novel by James Jones and the subsequent film starring Burt Lancaster, Frank Sinatra and Montgomery Clift, the new Tim Rice (lyrics), Stuart Brayson (music) and Bill Oakes (book) musical From Here to Eternity will make its world premiere at London's Shaftesbury Theatre. The story of passion and honor is loosely based on Jones' experiences in the pre-World War II Hawaiian Division’s 27th Infantry. Here, the cast flexes some military muscle and preps for the show with another day of boot camp-style rehearsal that any tough-as-nails drill instructor would approve of. Performances begin September 30. Read the Playbill story.
