Julia Roberts and the Cast of "August: Osage County" Talk About the Pulitzer Prize-Winning Play Behind the Film

Playbill caught up with the cast of and creative minds behind the new darkly-comedic film "August: Osage County." Based on Tracy Letts' Pulitzer Prize and Tony-winning play (with a screenplay by Letts himself), the film delves into the relationships of the strong-willed but troubled women of the Weston family, who are brought together when the family's patriarch is found dead. Here, cast members Julia Roberts, Chris Cooper, Margo Martindale, Juliette Lewis, Julianne Nicholson, Abigail Breslin and Dermot Mulroney, along with director John Wells and Letts, reflect on the power and poetry of the play and the significance of telling stories about women over the age of 40. The film opens in New York and Los Angeles on December 27. Watch highlights from the film.
