Kathie Lee Gifford Hosts 20th Annual Broadway on Broadway, Part One

On Sept. 9, New York City's Times Square was mobbed with theatre fans as they enjoyed the 20th anniversary production of Broadway on Broadway. This free annual event celebrates the start of a new season on Broadway and features performances from shows both old and new. This year's event was hosted by “Today Show” host Kathie Lee Gifford, whose own musical Scandalous: The Life and Trials of Aimee Semple McPherson is set to open on Broadway this fall. Steve Kazee and Once cast mates, Spider-Man Turn Off the Dark's Reeve Carney, and Bring It On: The Musical took the stage to the delight of the fans. The crowd was also treated to a preview of "Smash"'s upcoming second season and a peek at Motown: The Musical which is set to open on Broadway in the spring of 2013.
