Maestro Bernstein: Conductor or Composer?

Virtuoso pianist Hershey Felder brings Leonard Bernstein to life in Maestro Bernstein: A Play With Music. The show combines first-person narrative with the compositions of Bernstein and others to flesh out the complex life of the conductor, composer, pianist, author and teacher. Here, Felder sat down with Playbill to chat about the musical legend and perform some selections from the show, including West Side Story's "Maria." The July 17 performance takes place at The Town Hall.
