Multi-Tony Nominated Something Rotten! Will Give First Musical Performance of the Tonys

Tonight's Tony Awards musical performances kick off with a number from Something Rotten! The show stars Brian d'Arcy James (a 2015 nominee for Best Actor in a Musical) and John Cariani as the Bottom brothers, a pair of struggling writers who, with the help of a soothsayer (Brad Oscar, nominated for Best Featured Actor in a Musical), try to outdo their arch nemesis William Shakespeare (Christian Borle, also nominated for Best Featured Actor in a Musical) by bringing the world's first musical to the stage. Casey Nicholaw directs and choreographs and is nominated in both categories. Hear a tune from the cast recording of the show.
