PLAYBILL EXCLUSIVE: "Life with Laura" Reveals the Workings of Laura Benanti's Quirky Mind

She's a Broadway star (Women on the Verge, Nine), a Tony winner (Best Performance by a Featured Actress in a Musical) and a TV star ("Royal Pains," "Go On," "The Sound of Music Live!") but that's not enough for Laura Benanti. It's time for her to conquer the Internet, and the title of her latest album (available on Broadway Records) tells the story — she's "In Constant Search of the Right Kind of Attention." In this premiere episode of "Life with Laura," Benanti invited Playbill over to visit her while she answered emails, attempted to save a Saudi Arabian prince and unpacked her vast collection of self-help books. The title rap tune was written especially for Playbill by Lin-Manuel Miranda. Watch Episode Two.
