Playbill Goes On Set with NBC's Broadway-Themed "Smash"

Written and executive-produced by Theresa Rebeck (Seminar) and with Broadway and film producers Craig Zadan and Neil Meron ("Chicago," How to Succeed...) steering the course, "Smash" has a pedigree that spells success. On a chilly December evening, Playbill joined the cast and crew on set in Times Square where stars Megan Hilty and Katharine McPhee were about to shoot a fantasy musical sequence. Zadan and Meron spoke about the authenticity of the Broadway content, bringing a musical show to TV and revealed a secret about the made-for-TV Marilyn musical's stage aspirations. The series premieres Feb. 6 on NBC. For more on "Smash" click here.
