Rebecca Luker Celebrates Jerome Kern

Three time Tony Award nominee Rebecca Luker (Mary Poppins, The Music Man, Show Boat) is busy with concerts this week, having been a part of The Bridge to Broadway at the River to River Festival on July 2, and performing her solo concert, Rebecca Luker Sings Jerome Kern, July 6 and 7 at 54 Below. She took a break from the River to River Festival rehearsals in Rockefeller Park to talk about the two concerts, and give a musical preview including Sam Davis and Randy Buck's "Greenwich Time," Jerome Kern and Dorothy Fields' "I Got Love," and Kern and Oscar Hammerstein II's "Why Was I Born?"
