Oscar winner Robin Williams
made his Broadway dramatic-acting debut in Rajiv Joseph’s
Bengal Tiger at the Baghdad Zoo. This meditation on American involvement in the Middle East told the story of two American soldiers and an Iraqi translator whose fates intertwined as the ghost of a zoo tiger (Williams) wandered a Baghdad that grows increasingly haunted. Moisés Kaufman
directed the humor-flecked drama about morally-challenged characters questioning their place in the world. Read more about Robin William’s legacy.
