School of Rock and Rock of Ages Ready to Roll Against Cancer

Playbill stopped by as the cast of Broadway's Rock of Ages and the youngsters from the music school School of Rock rehearsed for their joint March 14 concert which will benefit the "world's leading rock 'n' roll cancer foundation," Love Hope Strength. Blasting through some hard-rocking '80s hits (Pat Benatar's "Shadows of the Night," Twisted Sister's "I Wanna Rock," Journey's "Don't Stop Believin'") the youngsters proved to the Broadway veterans that they are most certainly up for the task of bringing to life music written years before they were born.
