Wicked Encore Features Composer Stephen Schwartz

To celebrate its eighth anniversary on Broadway, Wicked allowed fans to cast ballots in choosing a song from the show to be performed at a special encore performance following the Oct. 30 matinee. With over 10,000 votes cast, "Defying Gravity" took the honor of fan favorite. Wicked cast members, alumni, and even the show's composer Stephen Schwartz assembled in the Gershwin Theatre lobby to perform the hit song.
