The House in Town, a new play by Richard Greenberg, which began previews for its world premiere at Lincoln Center Theater on May 24, will officially open at the Mitzi E. Newhouse on June 19. Doug Hughes directs the work.

The cast of the 90-minute, intermissionless play—Greenberg's third production in New York over the past 12 months, after A Naked Girl on the Appian Way and Three Days of Rain—includes Jessica Hecht, Mark Harelik, Becky Ann Baker, Armand Schultz and Dan Bittner.

The production has sets by John Lee Beatty, costumes by Catherine Zuber, lighting by Brian MacDevitt and sound design and original music by David van Tieghem.

The play takes a look at a marriage and is set in the early months of 1929 on New York City's 23rd Street between 9th and 10th Avenues, which was then known as Millionaire's Row. Greenberg has often set his plays, or sections of his plays, in earlier decades of 20th century New York, among them Everett Beekin, The Violet Hour and Night and Her Stars.

Hecht's recent New York stage credits include Julius Caesar and After the Fall on Broadway. Harelik was part of the original LCT cast of The Light in the Piazza. Baker has appeared on Broadway in Titanic, Assasssins and Cat on a Hot Tin Roof and Off-Broadway in Shanghai Moon and Othello. Schultz's credits include The Herbal Bed and A View From the Bridge.

In the past, LCT has produced Greenberg's Everett Beekin.
