Sound of Music’s Nixon to Sign Autobiography July 28-30

| photo by Aubrey Reuben | Marni Nixon, who will play Mother Abbess in the Hollywood Bowl’s upcoming production of The Sound of Music, will sign copies of her new autobiography following performances of the classic Rodgers and Hammerstein musical.
From July 28-30, Nixon will autograph copies of her new tome, “I Could Have Sung All Night,” at The Bowl Store.
"I Could Have Sung All Night," which was co-written by Nixon and Stephen Cole will be released by Billboard Books in September. The hardcover autobiography, which features a foreword by Marilyn Horne, will retail for $24.95.
Nixon is perhaps best known for dubbing the vocal performances of such film stars as Audrey Hepburn (in "My Fair Lady"), Deborah Kerr (in "The King and I") and Natalie Wood (in "West Side Story"). In "I Could Have Sung All Night," the singer-actress recalls her numerous Hollywood and Broadway experiences, including working with Julie Andrews, Leonard Bernstein, Liberace, Cary Grant, Otto Preminger and Victor Borge.
Marni Nixon was most recently on Broadway in the Tony winning revival of Nine, and her other Main Stem credits include Follies, James Joyce's The Dead and The Girl in the Pink Tights. She played Aunt Alice in the film "I Think I Do" and Sister Sophia in the motion picture of "The Sound of Music."
