Hunter Foster in Bloom Again in Broadway's Producers

Hunter Foster returns to Broadway's The Producers July 27, once again playing the role of Leo Bloom opposite John Treacy Egan's Max Bialystock.

The actor, who originated the role of Bobby Strong in Broadway's Urinetown, was also seen in the Kennedy Center's Mr. Roberts and Off-Broadway's Modern Orthodox. He earned a Tony Award nomination for his turn in the 2004 revival of Little Shop of Horrors and will be seen next at the New York Musical Theatre Festival in Party Come Here opposite Terrence Mann, Fyvush Finkel and Kaitlin Hopkins.

The Producers, the Mel Brooks-Thomas Meehan musical comedy, is directed and choreographed by Susan Stroman. Performances continue at the St. James Theatre.

The current company also includes original Tony Award-winning cast member Gary Beach (Roger DeBris), Brad Musgrove (Carmen Ghia), Bill Nolte (Franz Liebkind) and Angie Schworer (Ulla).

The show has a Tony Award-winning book by Mel Brooks and Thomas Meehan, Tony Award-winning music and lyrics by Mel Brooks, and Tony Award winning direction and choreography by Susan Stroman.

The musical also has Tony Award winning set design by Robin Wagner, Tony Award winning costume design by William Ivey Long, Tony Award winning lighting design by Peter Kaczorowski, and sound design by Steve Kennedy.
