Mimi Le Duck Star Makes Ars Nova a Velvet Prison Sept. 20

Annie Golden, who will star in the forthcoming Off-Broadway musical Mimi Le Duck, will go it solo at the Ars Nova Sept. 20.

Golden's song cycle is titled Velvet Prison and features musical direction by Marsh Hanson. The evening includes tunes by Tom Waits, Stephen Sondheim and Tammy Wynette and also offers an array of different characters. Show time is 8 PM.

Annie Golden made her Broadway debut in the 1977 production of Hair at the Biltmore Theatre and also took part in the all-star Hair concert to benefit the Actors' Fund of America. Golden's other Broadway credits include Leader of the Pack; Ah, Wilderness!; On the Town; and The Full Monty; she has recently been seen Off-Broadway in The Ark and Into the Weeds. Her screen credits include "Hair," "Twelve Monkeys," "Law & Order," "Third Watch," "One Life to Live," "Cheers" and "Miami Vice."
