Melissa Errico began her professional career portraying Cosette in Les Misérables, and she followed with leading roles in Anna Karenina, My Fair Lady, High Society, Amour (Tony nomination), Dracula and the City Center Encores! productions of Call Me Madam and One Touch of Venus. She appeared in a production of Threepenny Opera at the Williamstown Theatre Festival, and Errico's recent Off-Broadway credits include Finian's Rainbow and Aunt Dan and Lemon. She also starred in the Hollywood Bowl presentations of Camelot and The Sound of Music. Errico's debut solo recording was titled "Blue Like That."
In addition to her acting-singing credits, Errico teaches master classes at the LaGuardia High School and the Actors Center. She has helped raise money for Worldwide Orphans and recently created Lila Mamas, a mother's support group in downtown New York.
The Oct. 14 event will begin with a silent auction, followed by lunch and the fashion show. The latter will feature the work of Clifford Michael. Proceeds will help "Italian American children in poor health or who’ve suffered tragic events."
