Connie Fisher, who was recently chosen the winner of the much-in-the-news British reality program "How Do You Solve a Problem Like Maria," will play eight performances a week in the upcoming West End revival of The Sound of Music.

Emma Williams had been scheduled to play the role of Maria von Trapp twice a week, but she recently withdrew her services from the production. Fisher, according to the Really Useful website, will now play each performance unless "indisposed in which case she would be covered in the usual manner by the understudy."
Williams, according to the same press statement, "looks forward to working with Andrew Lloyd Webber, David Ian, The Really Useful Group, Live Nation and Jeremy Sams in the future and wishes Connie every success with the role."
The upcoming West End revival of The Sound of Music is scheduled to begin previews at the London Palladium Nov. 4. Directed by Jeremy Sams, the musical will officially open Nov. 14.
