Nathan Lane to Appear on "Late Show" With David Letterman Sept. 29

Broadway star Nathan Lane will pay a call on "The Late Show" host David Letterman on Sept. 29.

In New York City, the show airs at 11:30 PM on WCBS, Channel 2. Check listings for local times.

Lane, a two-time Tony Award winner, will return to Broadway Oct. 5 in a new revival of Simon Gray's Butley. He plays a literary professor who loses both his wife and his lover in one day. It opens at the Booth Theatre on Oct. 25.

Lane was last on Broadway in The Odd Couple with Matthew Broderick, his co-star in The Producers. Other recent credits include The Frogs and Dedication.

Nicholas Martin will direct Butley. Lane's co-stars are Julian Ovenden, Dana Ivey and Jessica Stone.
