PHOTO CALL: Rachel Corrie Opening

By Greg Kalafatas
16 Oct 2006

Celebrities of the stage and screen came to celebrate the opening of My Name is Rachel Corrie on Oct. 15 at the Minetta Lane Playhouse.

After the show, guests gathered at B Bar along with star Megan Dodds, and creators Katharine Viner and Alan Rickman.

Dodds reprises her role in the American premiere of the acclaimed — and controversial — historical solo play, which began previews Oct. 5 at Off-Broadway's Minetta Lane Theatre.

The limited engagement will play 48 performances through Nov. 19.

The play, which is taken from the writings of the late American activist Rachel Corrie, is directed by Rickman, who, with journalist Katharine Viner, edited Corrie's writings into this work for the stage.
