My Name Is Rachel Corrie Starts Talkbacks on Oct. 17

My Name Is Rachel Corrie, the drama which recently opened at the Minetta Lane Theatre, will begin a series of audience talkbacks on Oct. 17.

The talkbacks will all follow the 8 PM performances. The one of Oct. 17 will focus on the process of writing the play. Co-editors Katharine Viner, features editor of London's The Guardian, and Alan Rickman, who also directs, are joined by Cindy and Craig Corrie, Rachel Corrie's parents, Sarah Corrie, her sister, and the Royal Court Theatre's general manager, Diane Borger.

Future talkbacks are as follows:

*Oct. 24: "Political Journalism and Theatre," featuring Columbia University/Graduate School of Journalism professor Alisa Solomon moderating a discussion with ABC News' anchor and reporter Dan Harris.

*Nov. 7: "Playwrighting and Politics," featuring playwrights Tony Kushner, David Hare and Robert O'Hara. Moderated by Gregory Mosher.

*Nov. 14: "Solo Performance," featuring star Megan Dodds, joined by other notable solo performers to discuss the challenges and triumphs of going it alone.
