Sutton Foster to Host WABC's Broadway "Fall Preview" TV Special

Tony Award winner Sutton Foster and WABC's Steve Bartelstein will co-host "Broadway Backstage: Fall Preview."

The Oct. 28 television special devoted to the new theatre season will air in the New York metropolitan area on WABC Channel 7 from 7:30-8 PM ET. The half-hour program will offer a look at such Broadway shows as Heartbreak House, The Apple Tree, Mary Poppins, Tarzan, The Drowsy Chaperone, Beauty and the Beast and Jersey Boys.

"Broadway Backstage: Fall Preview" will feature interviews with Swoosie Kurtz (Heartbreak House), Nathan Lane (Butley), Kristin Chenoweth (the forthcoming The Apple Tree), Donny Osmond (Beauty and the Beast), Phil Collins (Tarzan composer) and Peter Gregus (Jersey Boys fight captain). The program will also boast a chat with Disney Theatrical Productions' Thomas Schumacher.

Sutton Foster received a Tony nomination for her work in the new musical The Drowsy Chaperone at the Marquis Theatre. The singing actress starred in the title role of Thoroughly Modern Millie and received the Tony, Drama Desk, Outer Critics Circle and Astaire awards for that performance. She also received a Tony nomination for her performance in Little Women, and her other Broadway credits include roles in Les Misérables, Annie, The Scarlet Pimpernel and Grease!. Foster's regional and tour credits include What the World Needs Now, Dorian, Three Musketeers, South Pacific and The Will Rogers Follies.
