Spring Awakening Cast Recording Now Due Dec. 12

Spring Awakening will release its original Broadway cast recording on Dec. 12, a week after the previously announced date of Dec. 5.
Fresh from its Off-Broadway run at the Atlantic Theater Company, Spring Awakening begins performances Nov. 16 at 8 PM at Broadway's Eugene O'Neill Theatre. Opening night is Dec. 10.
Based on the expressionist drama by Frank Wedekind, Spring Awakening is a collaboration between composer Duncan Sheik and lyricist-librettist Steven Sater. Direction is by Michael Mayer and the choreography is by Bill T. Jones. The design team comprises Christine Jones (scenic), Susan Hilferty (costume), Kevin Adams (lighting) and Brian Ronan (sound).
The show will feature Skylar Astin, Lilli Cooper, Christine Estabrook, John Gallagher, Jr., Gideon Glick, Jonathan Groff, Brian Charles Johnson, Lea Michele, Lauren Pritchard, Stephen Spinella, Phoebe Strole, Jonathan B. Wright and Remy Zaken. The ensemble includes Gerard Canonico, Jennifer Damiano, Robert Hager and Krysta Rodriguez.
