Circus Leaves Town: Bob Dylan-Twyla Tharp Musical The Times They Are A Changin’ to Close

| photo by Bruce Glikas | The Times They Are A-Changin’ — Twyla Tharp's new musical featuring the songs of Bob Dylan — will end its Broadway run at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre Nov. 19, the show announced.
The musical, which began previews Sept. 25 and opened on Oct. 26, will have played 28 performances and 35 previews by its run's end.
James L. Nederlander, Hal Luftig/Warren Trepp, Debra Black, East of Doheny, Rick Steiner/ Mayerson Bell Group, Terry Allen Kramer, Patrick Catullo and Jon B. Platt/ Roland Sturm produce.
Original stars of the Old Globe world premiere Michael Arden (Big River, Swimming in the Shallows, Bare) and Thom Sesma (Man of La Mancha, Nick & Nora, La Cage Aux Folles) have been joined on Broadway by Lisa Brescia (The Woman in White, Aida).
Movin' Out veteran John Selya appears in the ensemble with Lisa Gajda (Spamalot, Movin' Out), Neil Haskell, Jason McDole, Charlie Neshyba-Hodges (Movin' Out), Jonathan Nosan and Ron Todorowski. Alex Brady, Lisa Brescia, John Herrera, Alaine Kashian, Keith Kuhl, Marty Lawson, Joseph Putignano, Cary Tedder and Jason Wooten complete the company.
Billed as "fable [that] exists in a dreamscape populated by the members of a struggling circus," The Times They Are A-Changin' tells "tells the timeless story of two generations at odds... and the young man who breaks free from his father's expectations to find his place in the world."
