Blue Man Group will appear on the forthcoming season premiere of NBC's "Scrubs," open a new run in Orlando and head out on a concert tour.
Television fans may remember the blue-skinned trio were part of a story-arc on "Arrested Development." Now, the Blue Man Group will make a special appearance on the season premiere of NBC's "Scrubs" Nov. 30 when Zach Braff's character J.D. finds himself on stage at The Venetian Resort Hotel and Casino.
Blue Man Group also announced recently that a new theatrical production is slated to open at the Universal Orlando Resort in June 2007. Blue Man Group will create a new show using elements of the existing show as well as new material for a new live performance venue to be accessible from both Universal CityWalk and Universal Studios in the Florida resort.
Following a successful tour promoting their second album "The Complex," Blue Man Group will now head out on the "How to Be a Megastar Tour 2.0" starting Nov. 14. (Check howtobeamegastar.com for a full list of stops.) The new show "takes the audience through a satirical 'workshop' on how to create 'the perfect rock concert experience.'" Based in part on the "Rock Concert Manual" concept from "The Complex Rock Tour" the "Blue Men download a new 'how-to-manual' that takes the audience through a uniquely clever and interactive show that guarantees to deliver hypnotic entertainment for all ages."
The original stage show Blue Man Group: Tubes still plays at the Astor Place Theatre, 434 Lafayette St. in New York City. For more information on all Blue Man Group shows, visit the website at www.blueman.com
