Saturday Night Fever's Price Explores The eX-Files in Nov. 17 Benefit Concert

By Andrew Gans
15 Nov 2006

Paige Price, who was recently elected Actors' Equity's new first vice president, will perform her one-woman musical show Nov. 17 in New Jersey.

Price will offer The eX-Files as a benefit for the newly renovated Brook Arts Center in Bound Brook, NJ; show time is 8 PM. Price's show, according to press notes, is a collection of "true stories, mostly comic, about life and love in the city." Musical director Ed Alstrom will accompany the singing actress on piano.

The Brook Arts Center, which had been devastated by Hurricane Floyd in 1999, is located in Price's hometown. In a statement Price said, "I am thrilled to be able to perform on the stage of the Brook. It's where I saw my first movie musical ('Mary Poppins'). I urge the community to support the mammoth effort that has gone into the revitalization of downtown Bound Brook and is realized in this gorgeous theatre."

Paige Price has starred on Broadway in Saturday Night Fever, Smokey Joe's Cafe, Beauty and the Beast and the pre-Broadway run of Busker Alley. He touring credits include A Chorus Line and 42nd Street. In addition to appearing in the first season of the NBC hit "Ed," her television and film credits include "All The Right Moves" starring Tom Cruise, "Stop the World I Want to Get Off," "Newhart," and "The Equalizer."

The Brook Arts Center is located at the Brook Theatre, 10 Hamilton Street in Bound Brook, NJ. Tickets, priced $35, are available by calling (732) 469-7700 or by visiting www.brookarts.org.
