The musical will now run through Dec. 17, with extra performances added Dec. 15 at 7:30 PM, Dec. 16 at 2 PM and 6:30 PM and Dec. 17 at 1 PM and 5:30 PM.
"We are thrilled with the audiences' reaction to Pirates of Penzance. Young and not so young are having the time of their lives with Pirates of Penzance and we want to make sure that everyone has a chance to see this musical comedy," stated Price.
The new take on the comic operetta by Sir William S. Gilbert (book and lyrics) and Sir Arthur S. Sullivan (music) was conceived by Nell Benjamin, Gordon Greenberg and John McDaniel. The tale is now infused with a Caribbean flavor.
Warren Carlyle choreographs. Additional book and lyrics for Pirates of Penzance were written by Nell Benjamin. McDaniel, who is acting as music supervisor, provided new musical arrangements.
