Douglas Carter Beane, who is currently represented on Broadway with the new comedy The Little Dog Laughed, will take part in the Dramatists Guild of America's Seminar Series.
Beane will discuss his experiences as a playwright, his work as an artistic director for The Drama Dept. and his screenwriting efforts.
In addition to The Little Dog Laughed, Beane has also penned the plays Music From a Sparkling Planet, The Country Club, Advice From a Caterpillar, White Lies and Devil May Care as well as the screenplay for "To Wong Foo, Thanks For Everything, Julie Newmar." A founding member and artistic director of the Drama Dept., he also recently wrote the live soap opera The Cartells. Beane is also a member of the Dramatists Guild.
