Sarah Ruhl will appear at the Barnes and Noble at 66th Street and Broadway on Nov. 20 at 7 PM to read and sign copies of her newly-published collection, The Clean House and Other Plays.

She will be joined by Vanessa Aspillaga, who is currently appearing in The Clean House Off-Broadway at Lincoln Center Theater's Mitzi E. Newhouse Theater.

Ruhl's play opened on Oct. 30 after previews that began Oct. 5. Originally scheduled to play through Dec. 17, the acclaimed play was extended until Jan. 28, and will take a break from Dec. 15-Jan. 1.

Ruhl's work, about a well-ordered household that is turned upside down when an interesting new maid arrives, was a 2005 Pulitzer Prize finalist. It won the 2004 Susan Smith Blackburn Prize.

Since its premiere at Yale Rep in New Haven in 2004, the play has been seen at The Wilma Theater in Philadelphia, the Woolly Mammoth Theatre in Washington, D.C., Chicago's Goodman Theatre, Milwaukee Rep, Denver Center Theater Company, Cincinnati Playhouse and San Francisco's TheatreWorks.

This year Ruhl received a prestigious MacArthur Fellowship. Her play Eurydice has been scheduled for Second Stage Theatre beginning May 29, 2007.
