Tony Winner Nathan Lane Guests on NBC's "30 Rock" March 8 as Baldwin Brother

Tony Award winner Nathan Lane will appear on the NBC comedy "30 Rock" March 8 playing the brother to stage and screen star Alec Baldwin's character.

Lane guest stars on the comedy created by Tina Fey ("Saturday Night Live," "Mean Girls"), which airs Thursdays at 9:30 PM ET; check local listings.

Fey stars in the half-hour sitcom that centers around the making of a weekly live sketch show titled "The Girlie Show," which stars fellow "SNL" alum Tracy Morgan and Tony Award winner Jane Krakowski. Scott Adsit, Keith Powell, Judah Friedlander, Katrina Bowden, Jack McBrayer, Lonny Ross and Rachel Dratch round out the cast.

In an episode titled "The Fighting Irish," NBC exec Jack Donaghy (Baldwin) "helps his down-and-out brother Eddie (Lane) with a job at 'TGS' – but can the staff handle two Donaghys?" Also guest appearing in the episode will be current "SNL" star Jason Sudeikis, former "SNL" member Molly Shannon and Anna Chlumsky (Balm in Gilead, "My Girl"). Brian Murray (The Rivals, The Crucible Lane last appeared on Broadway in Butley. In addition to his Tony-winning roles in The Producers and A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, he has starred in The Odd Couple, Present Laughter, Merlin, The Wind in the Willows, Some Americans Abroad, On Borrowed Time, Guys and Dolls, Laughter on the 23rd Floor, Love! Valour! Compassion! and The Man Who Came to Dinner. The actor has also been featured in such films as "Addams Family Values," "Mousehunt," "Love's Labour's Lost," "The Lion King" (in voice) and "The Birdcage," scoring a Golden Globe nomination for his work in the latter. He was also seen in the film adaptations of "Nicholas Nickleby" and "The Producers."

Baldwin was last seen on the Off-Broadway stage in Entertaining Mr. Sloane. The screen star has also made room for such stage turns as Twentieth Century, Loot, Trumbo, Serious Money, the benefit Short Talks on the Universe and the 1992 revival of A Streetcar Named Desire — for which he was Tony Award-nominated. The Long Island native is known for such films as "State and Main," "Glengarry Glen Ross," "Prelude to a Kiss" (reprising his Off-Broadway role), "The Cooler," "The Aviator," "Pearl Harbor" and "Beetlejuice," among others.

Krakowski last appeared onstage in the London run of Guys and Dolls and earned her Tony Award for the Tony-winning revival of Nine. The actress made her Broadway debut in Starlight Express and has also appeared in Tartuffe, Company, Once Upon a Mattress and Grand Hotel. Known for her previous TV work on "Ally McBeal," she also starred in the NBC television musical "A Christmas Carol" and in such films as "Pretty Persuasion," "Go," "Dance with Me" and "Alfie."
