Esparza, Walsh, D'Abruzzo to Sing in Salon-Like Benefit in NYC April 2

Miss the days of yore when Jule Styne and pals would sing around a piano at a Manhattan cocktail party? On April 2, a handful of Broadway players will do just that — and for a good cause.
Artists Striving To End Poverty (ASTEP) is hosting an intimate evening of song (in a downtown apartment) featuring Broadway Tony Award nominees Raúl Esparza (Taboo, Company), Barbara Walsh (Falsettos, Big, Company) and Stephanie D'Abruzzo (Avenue Q), plus other special Broadway guests, including Tituss Burgess of Jersey Boys and the upcoming The Little Mermaid.
Mary-Mitchell Campbell, music supervisor and orchestrator for Broadway's Company, will play piano.
A silent auction, wine and hors d'oeuvres begin at 6 PM.
Admission is $100 per person. Business attire is suggested. A reservation for the tax-deductible evening can be made by calling Artists Striving To End Poverty at (212) 706-1516.

Artists Striving To End Poverty (ASTEP) "is a non-profit organization dedicated to mobilizing the global community of artists in an effort to create positive change for young people in need worldwide. ASTEP's programming, which includes arts camps in South Africa and Florida, an arts-based and centered orphanage in India, and outreach in New York City, takes place in communities with populations of impoverished children who have limited access to arts education."
