Jeff Daniels to Return to Birdland in May

Stage and screen star Jeff Daniels, who is currently appearing Off-Broadway in the critically acclaimed Manhattan Theatre Club production of Blackbird, will return to Birdland next month.
Daniels will play the famed Manhattan jazz club May 14 at 7 PM. Concertgoers can expect to hear a host of original tunes penned by the actor, including "If William Shatner Can, I Can Too," "The Dirty Harry Blues," "Kathy" and "Momma Never Left Her Oldest Boy."
On Broadway Jeff Daniels has been seen in Gemini, Fifth of July, The Golden Age and Redwood Curtain. His numerous film credits include "Terms of Endearment," "Dumb & Dumber" and "The Squid and the Whale." He will soon be seen in "Mama's Boy," a new film co-starring Diane Keaton and Jon Heder, due in theatres Thanksgiving 2007. His CDs are titled "Live and Unplugged" and "My Grandfather's Hat."
