A Chorus Line's Hanes to Be Part of Reading of Nicky Silver Play

By Andrew Gans
04 May 2007

A reading of Nicky Silver's The Food Chain will be the first offering of On a Break Productions, a new company founded by Donna Vivino.

Actress Vivino, who was last seen on Broadway in Martin Short: Fame Becomes Me, has created the company to give actors, stage managers and others involved in the theatre an opportunity to work in different areas of their profession. The company plans to launch a series of new works and staged readings.

The first such reading, The Food Chain, will be presented May 6 (at 7 PM) and May 7 (at 8 PM) at the West Side Dance Project. Tyler Hanes, who plays Larry in the current revival of A Chorus Line, will star in the reading, which is free and open to the public.

The West Side Dance Project is located in Manhattan at 260 West 36th Street. For reservations, e-mail donna@donnavivino.com.

On a Break Productions will also soon be accepting submissions of original one-acts for an upcoming summer festival in Manhattan.
